01The Space

Somewhere to be

Step in from the soi and the air cools, the light turns violet and the street falls quiet behind the glass. There are two places to settle: the room inside, and a small lawn out front. Stay for five minutes or for a long conversation.

  • The Violet Room

    Violet walls, warm bulbs strung in loops overhead and a polished wooden floor that holds the colour of the light. Curved cream sofas are set for conversation, with one pink flower of a cushion for whoever gets there first. The air is cool, the music is low and the evening takes its time.

  • The Front Lawn

    Out front, beneath the violet sign, a small square of lawn that stays green all year. Canvas chairs, little tables and the open air: a seat on the edge of Soi 13/1, close enough to watch Pattaya go by without having to join in.

02The Standard

The Cannapeace Standard

Five things we hold ourselves to, whether or not anyone is checking.

    Licensed, and glad to show it

    Our licence is on the wall, in plain view, and the premises are open to inspection at any time. You are welcome to look us up on MC-GIS, the public map of licensed shops kept by the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine.

  2. 02

    Certified sources only

    We work only with growers certified under GACP, the Good Agricultural and Collection Practices standard that Thai inspectors audit, from soil and water to hygiene and handling after harvest. Every certificate is kept on file.

  3. 03

    Careful storage and handling

    Everything we hold is stored securely and handled only by trained staff. Each step is recorded, and every prescription is kept on file for at least a year, as the law requires.

  4. 04

    Trained people, every hour we are open

    Someone trained in the rules is on duty for every hour the door is open. Ask them anything about the law, and you will get a straight answer, even when it is no.

  5. 05

    Clean air, inside and out

    Nothing is smoked or vaped anywhere on our premises, the lawn included. Thai rules do not allow it at licensed shops, and we would not want it anyway: the room is for sitting, talking and breathing easy.

03Our story

The calm behind the colour

Pattaya is many things. Quiet is seldom one of them. Under a sign that is anything but shy, on Soi 13/1, between Beach Road and Second Road, there is a room where the town turns itself down: cool air, soft light and nobody in a hurry.

The rules for shops like ours changed in June 2025, and they are strict. We think that is as it should be. Our licence hangs where you can read it, our answers are straight, and there are no shortcuts for anyone. We would rather explain a rule than bend it.

Mr. Magicanna

Above the door

Mr. Magicanna is the spirit of the house. His name runs across our sign in electric blue, and from up there he keeps an eye on the soi, the door and everyone who comes through it. He is fond of good manners, soft voices and passports, and he has never once been seen to rush.

Soi Pattaya 13/1 runs between Beach Road and Second Road. From Beach Road, turn into the soi with the sea behind you; from Second Road, turn in and walk towards the sea.
